Hello Preschool Families,
The four year old I nanny for no longer has a nap time. This means that we get a good two hours inside the house together while his younger sister naps. I've found that I want to do more then just play with cars and build with blocks. We've started doing fun experiments and activities where he may get a little messy and he loves that! I thought it would be fun to include a fun experiment in this newsletter for you to share with your kids. Every kid loves to get messy and see science unfold before them.
This next quarter during the 8:30 class your children will be going through the book of Exodus learning about Moses and the Israelites. At 10:00/11:30 they are learning about all the great things that God has given us, such as His son Jesus, the world, and how God meets our needs. I encourage all of you to ask your child about the story they have heard each Sunday. It's great to have biblical conversations with your child and to be able help them learn how important the Bible is.
I'm sure some of your children come home on Sundays singing songs that they've sung in Sunday School. Our song leaders Cole Quinn, Bonnie Oliver, Joan Rose, Rachel Shreve, and Lorna Martins do a great job of choosing songs that the children love. In fact on April 1st, we are having the Giraffe class sing in the adult service. When I decided to have them sing "Awesome God" my decision was confirmed when I tried the song with them and every single child stood up and did all of the motions. They were even all singing! It's not every day that you can get them all to get out of their seats and sing with you. They all love this song and I'm excited to see them share it with the adults in service.
I'm also very excited to be hosting another Preschool Family Fun Night for you and your families on June 1st. The last one was quite a hit and I loved that all of the preschool families that attended were able to have fun together. This time the theme will be "Preschool Night at the Beach". Come do beach themed crafts as well as let your children enjoy the inflatables and other beach themed activities. I hope you can all make it! I look forward to getting to know you and your children even more as this year continues.
God Bless!
