"AWANA" Means:

taken from 2 Timothy 2:15

AWANA is a fun place for children to learn Scripture and truths from God’s Word. This program includes one-on-one time with a leader, story time, game time, and the opportunity to earn a lot of awards. There is something for everybody at our AWANA Clubs. We have a tremendous sports program, awards for handbook achievements, regular club outings, special events, and interesting speakers who help us to understand the Bible and learn how to use it every day.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! WOW! Can you believe 2012 is here? Our 40th year of Awana continues at a VERY rapid pace and now it really gets busy. First up is our Grand Prix Race February 24 in the Manor at ACC. The Grand Prix workshop at the Thorsteinson's is Saturday February 4. The Car Kits go on sale January 11th for $3. As always be sure to watch for details on these activities coming through club on Wednesdays.
March is AwanaGames on the 10th at Edmonds-Woodway High School and our “loose change drive” for a missionary project. More information coming.
EMAIL UPDATE: We should have the list ready beginning in January and hope it will be a good tool for us to communicate with you when a sudden cancellation of club happens. We hope that between this email and the website you will be kept informed quickly. We will only use it for club business. It will not be given out!!
Note to all parents: If Edmonds School District cancels school on a Wednesday club meeting night there will be no Awana. The latest status on whether there will be club meetings can be found on the Alderwood Awana website.
As a reminder, if you need to contact the Awana leadership during club meeting hours call: Judy's cell phone 206.200.7972.
