| Growing up: |
I grew up in Huntington Beach, California and lived in the same house from age 3 until I graduated from High School. I am the youngest out of 4 boys. My parents were divorced when I was 8, but my mom did a fantastic job raising me. The thing I miss about California the most is the sun!
I received Christ as my savior as a 13 year-old boy at Central Baptist Church in Huntington Beach. The student ministry was my life. My youth pastor Scott Meacham was used by God to help me grow spiritually, I am so grateful for his input into my life. |
| Family: |
God smiled on me when He brought Kay into my life. We have been married for just over 25 years now. We are so grateful for our three beautiful daughters, Lauren, Lisa and Alison and enjoy spending time together as a family. |
| Education: |
I received my Bachelor’s degree in 1982 from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and my Master’s degree in 1991 from Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, California. I am currently working on my Doctor of Ministry degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, Massachusetts. |
| Past Employment: |
I was the Senior Pastor of Grand Mesa Baptist Church in Grand Junction, Colorado from 1994-1998. I was an Associate Pastor of Central Baptist Church in Huntington Beach, California from 1984 – 1994. |
| Activities/Hobbies: |
I enjoy playing all sports, but softball is my favorite. I play on the Alderwood Men’s Softball team. I enjoy sporting events with my family, and spend a lot of time watching my daughters play sports. I enjoy working out at the gym to stay in shape.
I also enjoy watching movies with my family, taking them shopping and out to dinner.
When the weather is nice, I actually enjoy working in my yard. |

God called us here, and you are our family! It has been a wonderful journey learning together and watching God touch peoples lives through the ministry efforts of the people of Alderwood. |
| Great Times at ACC: |
Right now! I love to preach and teach God’s Word and I love spending time with my church family. I am thrilled to see our new building being constructed before our very eyes. |
